The Albany Admirals, formerly the Black Watch Highlanders, competes in the highly competitive PDL league under the governance of the United Soccer Leagues (USL). The USL is also home to the 2nd and 3rd Divisions of Professional Soccer plus the Super Y League, the national youth league. The Admirals’ roster has contained many of the Club’s elite youth players, as well as the training grounds have held many opportunities for our aspiring talented youth players to train within the group.

Adult Amateur Programs
In several of our Clubs, we have programs such as Over 30’s, Open Men’s, Under 23, Under 20 and Co-ed competitive flight teams who compete in local, regional and national competitions. For instance, in Black Watch NY-North, our Over 30 Men compete annually in the Las Vegas Invitational, which is home to some of the country’s best Over 30 competition. Also, in each of our SYL Clubs, the Club provides a U20 opportunity for our players to come home from college and compete over their respective breaks and return to school sharp and fit.

Super 20 League
As mentioned above, it is one of our Club’s programs currently tied in with the Super Y League (SYL) and the USL. The Super 20 League enables our Club’s 18, 19 and even rising 20 year-old players to continue to compete at a regional and national level.

Premier Youth Soccer
(Age Groups: U11-U18, both boys and girls)
The Club has built its reputation through the production of quality players into the US NT Programs and competitive collegiate soccer programs across he country, and success competing on the state, regional and national level. The Club takes great pride providing quality instruction from professional coaching, competitive competition, partnerships with quality facilities and player identification into higher levels of soccer.

Youth Academy
(Ages 6-12 year-olds)
The Youth Academy has become a tool to reach out to our community partners, as well as begin quality instruction in developmentally appropriate soccer environments with beginning soccer players. This component of our programming has been one of the fundamental building bocks in our Club’s success. Getting access to younger players and having the ability to effectively implement appropriate, fun soccer instruction has enabled the Club to build more competitive players and in turn teams. This process has proven to be successful, Black Watch NY-North’s current U16 Boys team is the first team from this process. Black Watch Dundee was put together at Under 8, and with quality coaching at a young age plus playing in competitive leagues and tournaments, Black Watch Dundee has had some of the Club’s greatest successes. Most recently, losing in double overtime of the semi-finals of Surf Cup in San Diego, CA after defeating the number 1 team in the nation in the Round Robin play.
